Tomasz Goetel

Tomasz Goetel is a Hot Yoga teacher who specializes in a “fitness” style of Yoga, where he teaches set sequences of Yoga postures and breathing exercises in a warm room. His classes are well-known for being rich in personal attention, challenging, fun, strengthening, and nurturing.

Tomasz received the Level 1 and Level 2/3 Advanced Hot Yoga certification from Jimmy Barkan’s Method of Hot Yoga in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Jimmy is one of the world’s most senior and respected Hot Yoga teachers. After having taught Hot Yoga in the USA, Tomasz was invited to Thailand where he introduced many new students to Hot Yoga at the “Bliss Hot Yoga” studio in Phuket.

In March 2008, Tomasz opened his own Hot Yoga space in Phuket. He is currently also at work developing his own Hot Yoga style, “The Hot Yoga Evolution”, and, conducting Hot Yoga courses at the Absolute Sanctuary Detox and Wellness Center.

The Sanctuary is a beautiful place ideally suited for relaxation. I particularly enjoyed the "hot" classes as I sweated buckets, and started to feel better almost immediately. The staff is incredibly friendly and goes out of their way to help you at all times. The clinic staff is very professional and there is a very warm atmosphere about the whole resort. I'm happy to say that I had lost 9.5kg and felt better than I had in years. I think i've learned a lot about food, my life, my body etc since being here that I will live a much healthier life on my return home. “ … be fabulous while you fast”

The pool is heavenly to lie by whilst soaking up the gorgeous weather and the rooms are a joy to retire to - each with a lovely balcony to sit on enjoying the view down the mountain to the blue sea beyond. At the "Absolute", you CAN be fabulous while you fast! I've come back 11lbs lighter, as brown as berry and (some might say) almost irritatingly cheerful. I'll be back and if you haven't been, GO!

100% vegetarian food on Ko Samui was a joy and a relief and a pleasure to experience the Love Kitchen, particularly knowing that it was a completely animal-free kitchen.
