Detailed verbal instructions are given in each pose, and the heat allows you to detoxify and go deeper in the poses. Ashtanga or Vinyasa style yoga is a flowing practice, where you move through a sequence of poses more quickly, and poses are connected via the breath. In general, most poses are held for just 5 breaths, and then you move on to another pose. Both styles are appropriate for all levels, it’s a matter of personal preference which is right for you—and many students love both.
